Swindell may have released his first studio album in 2014, but he’s been touring since 2012. And like many artists early in his career, Swindell took it slow during his first few years. In fact, he performed 9 concerts between 2012-2013.
But with the release of his debut album on February 18, 2014 and the explosive success of “Chillin’ It” things changed rapidly.
He began touring across the country, including opening for Luke Bryan’s 2014 “That’s My Kind of NIght Tour” that began in January and ended in early March. But he then began his own touring career, likely in support of his debut album. This led to an incredible 119 concerts played in both 2014 and 2015.
After that, as Swindell’s fame grew, demand for live shows also expanded, which led to him playing between 66-127 concerts per year from 2016-2019. And many of these concerts were held at the choicest music venues as well as some of the most popular music festivals and faires at the time.
He might have kept up this pace, but the global pandemic caused Swindell to slow down leading to him performing only 6 concerts in 2020. But many of his fans consider these concerts to be some of his strongest work yet. Which is why they were excited when 2021 came and he had played a total of 40 concerts. And now, in 2022, he’s back to top form with 61 concerts played and scheduled for this year.
